Mika Sellens is a music producer, writer, and mixer from London; based at her studio, Studio 5B, in Hackney. Her work involves a combination of writing and recording with artists, producing their work, and mixing. Mika has worked in LA and Nashville, had tracks playlisted on BBC Radio and synced to TV. Mika’s path into music production began playing in bands and then as a solo artist, starting her own label, Little Doll Records and producing her first EP.
Mika has worked extensively in contemporary dance and theatre, creating experimental electroacoustic sound scores and sound designs. Mika’s sound art installations have been displayed in galleries and her work has been toured internationally.
Mika studied Music at Goldsmiths and has an MA in Sonic Arts from Middlesex.
Mika is an experienced educator and is a professor of Electronic & Produced Music at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Mika is an Executive Director of the Music Producers Guild (MPG) and is a Senator for The Ivors Academy. She is an active member of the networks 2% Rising and Mamas in Music.

Mika has a wealth of experience in music production and creative sound projects, and has worked across a wide variety of settings. This brings an openness to her work, and she enjoys thinking outside the box and taking an experimental and eclectic approach to production processes.
